ahem ahem!! Team India unveils its new jersey courtesy NIKE!! "Dude we r Indians, not Sri Lankans!! "
Boy!! "What a relief !!" I felt.I seriously got bored seeing them in the same old pale blue all these years! The new jersey has some aggression in it!
But to be frank, Looking at the Blue and Orange in the jersey, they looked like launching a new website for blogspot !! and whats with you SAHARA, I can see you more clearly than Indian font...ooops.
Nevertheless, Its worth a try! Its High time we needed a Jersey makeover.

Talking about Cricket Jerseys, right from the days Kerry packer introduced colored clothing in "World Series"
I consider the Kiwi jersey the coolest...but my current favorite is the Zimbabwean ( just love the "Z" on their T-shirt- as if they are superheroes)
Now coming to the real point, the jersey tendency is more towards BLUE and GREEN, cummon where are the others to be seen. I never understood why there is an over obsession for these two !
Now that Australia has shifted to green - YELLOW slot is vacant!!
Currently- Australia, South Africa,Pakistan,
Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kenya (ireland etc.) wear GREEN (though of different shades)
now isn't that too much of "GREENERY"
While, Srilanka, India,England (USA, Bermuda etc.) wear BLUE
So atleast 75-80% of the international teams wear BLUE and GREEN!!
Thanks to Kiwis (grey and black), West Indies (maroon) and Zimbabwe (Red) who saved some variety!! By the way, Orange looks reserved for the Holland side!
I hardly remember any team trying- Purple, Violet and Brown- ARE THEY JINXED?? (if yea...lemme know) and now even the Cream Retro Jersey is a vacant slot after the Kiwis gave it up!
I remember playing the EA sports CRICKET 04 game where the ALL STARS wore Purple!! It looked cool for the animation though!
But all I can say is enough BLUE and GREEN guys, Lets try some new colors- Allz Blue isnt Great and True....and Allz Green isn't Neat and Clean.
Guys do lemme know if you have some other colors in ur mind for the Jerseys!! CHEERS!

Brilliant Stuff there Crus.All i can say is "New Zealand 09 ODI kit is Awesome and its rocking."And about the Zimbabwe kit,yup you are right it too looks kool but i dont really like that dark.Coming to our Indian Kits,thats really looking crap :p I hate the Current Indian kit(don't ask me the reason :p).And coming to Green,Green has spread a lot as far as the grass in the stadium.Most of the Internationals wear Green now.And other colours are also nice.West Indies jersey looks cool too.

First of all...Good Work Man! I never really noticed that most teams are into green and blue untill I read this. So out of the 13 odd recognised One Day teams, 6 wear green. I wonder why.
Pakistan....is an Islamic country and hence wear Green so its understandable.
Bangladesh...well same wid them..muslim country and its holy color
Australia...well yellow was their identity but they have given it up for green....thats understandable because they are borrowing the green from Baggy Green Cap they wear in the test matches.
Ireland...I guess green is their national color...its their on their flag and hence they wear green.
South AFrica and Kenya...i have absolutely no idea why they wear green or what significance it has for them. But i like south africa's green n golden combo
Coming to the Blues....
England....they wear a combo of blue and red which is on their national flag...actually english flag is red n white but british flag is red n blue so one can understand their choice of color
Sri Lanka....i have absolutely no idea why they wear dark blue...its not on their flag...maybe they copy india....blue looks pathetic on their darker complexion...they must choose a lighter color
India...yeah coming back to the reason y u wrote this blog....i found this new jersey so very jarring to my eyes n senses...dark blue with eye blinding orange...for heaven's sakes what were they thinking. its classic case of technology taking precendance over style...
Agreed that a chnge was needed...but now having looked at this...i am already missing the pale blue
Another thing i wonder...y indians use blue??? its not our national color....the wheel is our flag is blue but still???
Coming to the rest of the world....
West Indies... They r synonymous with maroon...been using it for ages now...its very much their patended color...
New Zealand....The all blacks....they are easily my favs as far as jerseys go...Black is thei patented color
Similarly...its Orange for Holland..cant imagine them in any other color...
U have mentioned abt Zimbabwe being ur fav...Today is the first time im seeing their jersey...Its not bad but not even that cool dude...

The New jersey is boring.Cricket is Game of colours.Without variety in colours it difficult to find our own guys playing for India.
